Chelsea confirm the sign defender Chavarria
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria on a five-year deal for around £16.3m plus add-ons.
The 28-year-old replaces Marc Cucurella, who signed for Real Madrid earlier this summer in a £55.8m deal.
Chavarria started the Conference League final with Rayo Vallecano last season, which they lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace.
Julian Alvarez — Atletico Madrid to Arsenal
Arsenal are reportedly interested in Julian Alvarez, who could be more open to leaving Atletico Madrid after a difficult relationship with the Spanish club. The Argentina international has previously favoured Barcelona, but Atletico’s reluctance to negotiate with their rivals could give Arsenal an opportunity.
